<p class=MsoNormal><b><u>POSITION PURPOSE</u></b><u>:</u></p>
<p class=MsoNormal> </p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Implement, support, and
administer software, hardware, network and Telecommunications systems that
support Teleplan’s IT standards.</span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal> </p>
<p class=MsoNormal><b><u> NATURE AND SCOPE</u></b><u>:</u></p>
<p class=MsoNormal> </p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>To have the responsibility
for the management of Changes and Incidents within the Teleplan Global System
environment, also coordinating activity with Global Users of Teleplan. </span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Developing corrective actions
for all incidents and advising the Teleplan IT Infrastructure Manager of
preventative and improvement measures. </span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Independently evaluates,
selects, and applies standard IT techniques, procedures, and criteria, using sound
judgment in making minor adaptations or modifications to accomplish specific
projects or routine administrative duties. Assignments shall have clear and
specified objectives as well as instructions on complex features and possible
solutions which require the investigation of a limited number of variables. Assistance
is furnished on unusual problems and is reviewed for application of sound
professional judgment. May be responsible for phases of a single project, or
be a participant in a complete project. </span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Has Senior Technical
responsibility for the operating environment, giving technical direction to the
Technician level 2.</span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'> </span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Performance at this level
usually required a minimum of 7 to 10 years of related work experience.
Familiarity with local area networks, wide area networks, and
telecommunications systems is mandatory..</span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><b><u>PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES</u></b><u>:</u></p>

for network servers.</span></li>
<li class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Upgrade/install software
for network servers.</span></li>
<li class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Provide technical and
operational support to PC technician.</span></li>
<li class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Perform network related
support functions.</span></li>
<li class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Maintain up-to-date set of
operational procedures.</span></li>
<li class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Perform system
administration for network servers.</span></li>
<li class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'> Document local and wide
area network layouts.</span></li>
<li class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Diagnose and repair any
network problems.</span></li>
<li class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Perform Active Directory
maintenance and administrative functions.</span></li>
<li class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Interface with appropriate
vendors when required to remedy system problems.</span></li>
<li class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Give technical support to ALL
Teleplan remote sites.</span></li>
<li class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Responsible for documenting
PC standards.</span></li>
<li class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Maintain network security.</span></li>
<li class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Report status on all major
projects on a regular basis.</span></li>
<li class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Implement approved plans
for specific Teleplan site initiatives</span></li>
<li class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Complete special projects
as assigned by Supervisor.</span></li>
</ol>

<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Specific skills needed for
position:</span></p>

environment, Oracle database environment, Linux administration, Cisco Pix
firewalls, generic LAN/WAN and telecommunications systems and infrastructures,
Microsoft Active Directory Services, Microsoft Exchange 2000/3, DNS, Windows
2000/3.</span></p>

more of the above is desirable. </span></p>
