S tym RAID je to uplne sialene. Ak by niekoho
zaujimalo, tu su moje doterajsie zistenia....
konfiguracia - na secondary ide je napojene DVD, na
promise ataraid su napojene dva ide disky.

Mandrake 9.x - disky najde ako hda a hdc, tympadom
nepozna dvd, takze aj ked nabootojem z cd, tak pocas
instalacie mi zahlasi, ze cd nevie najst. Obisiel som
to instalaciou w2k, vytvorenim particie a na nu
nakopirovanim instalacnych cd, potom viem instalovat z
diskov. Ale Mandrake to vidi ako dva disky, nie ako
jeden velky.
Debian 3.neviemco - ten ma sklamal najviac, pri
instalacii nevidi ziadne disky
RedHat 8.0- ten da dvd ako hdc a tie disky ako hde a
hdg, co je spravne, ale pri vytvarani particii povie,
ze nie su uplne korektne, ze nevie po sebe precitat,
co tam zapisal, po dokonceni instalacie nevie z nich
nabootovat, LILO zahlasi LI
Knoppix (ci ako sa to vola) je vlastne iba demo Linux,
nabootoje z cd, nic neinstaluje. Ten sa sprava
najrozumnejsie, najde tie disky ako hde a hdg, dvd ako
hdc. Potom staci insmod ataraid a insmod pdcraid a
potom  to uz vidi ako jeden disk s dvojnasobnou
kapacitou ako /dev/ataraid/d0, presne tak to ma byt.
Pri vytvoreni particie pomocou fdisk ale zahlasi, ze
ioctl error 22 invalid argument a ze nevie precitat po
sebe, po reboote to precitat vie. Ale v tomto systeme
mi nefunguje lilo, takze neviem odskusat, ci by vedel
z toho aj nabootovat.
Momentalne taham suse, tak som zvedavy....

Inak, windowsy to okaslu tak, ze to emuluju ako scsi,
cize sa chytia bez problemov, ale degraduju vykon.

Ak by mal niekto podnetne rady, velmi rad si ich
precitam :((((
